If you have time for but one province in China, Yunnan should be it! Due to its splendid natural scenery and diverse ethnic minority groups culture and custom, you can surely boast diverse experience when you travel in Yunnan. Because of its unique location, the climate of Yunnan is adorable all year around, not very hot in summer season and not very cold in the winter. Therefore, it s suitable for you travel all year round. However, Yunnan ’s average temperature from April to October between 16°C to 28°C, and the average temperature from November to the next May between 4°C to 10°C. So, the best time to travel Yunnan is from April to November, and now is the best time to Yunnan in this year. Normally, the capital of Yunnan province- Kunming is the first stop for most of tourists. When in Kunming, you can start your trip at the mostwonderful karst formation known as the Stone Forest where boast largest scale of huge stone trees emerging from ground. At Kunming, exploring the Birds and Flowers Market is a nice way to experience the local people s cozy life. Another way to experience local people ’s life is to visit a local ethnic minority people s family and join in the ethnic minority people ’ s festival, such as Yi people ’ s Torch Festival. Go ahead Dali ’ s northeastward for about 4hous drive (about 50 minutes flight), you will arrive Lijiang .   magnificent snow mountains. The ancient town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While in Lijiang, to discover the Lijiang Ancient Town and to explore the around local Naxi people ’ s life that will give you a deep impression of the mysterious Dongba Culture and get the chance to appreciate   sceneries. Lijiang is a distributing center of northwest Yunnan and the product area of handcrafts; therefore, you can buy the local products of southwest China in here. So, this is a great place to pick up souvenirs. Traveling on northwestward of Lijiang, you come to Shangri-La (Diqing). Shangri-La is in the far northwest of Yunnan province, and it’s a Tibetan town up in the foothills of the Himalayas. If you are interesting in experiencing Tibetan’ s life, it ’ s the next best thing to going to Tibetan proper. Except for getting a grand view of beautiful natural scenery, you can also visit monasteries and spin prayer wheels, and sample yak butter tea.      Xishuangbanna to get a different impression of Yunnan. Xishuangbanna is a tropical place where the Dai people celebrate the Water Splashing Festival every April. While in Xishuangbanna, you can go to Wild Elephant Valley to see wild elephant, and visit Ganlanba where you can see the typical Dai Bamboo Buildings and Burmese temples in each of the villages.
