Changning County (昌宁县) is a county located in Baoshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province,China.Changning County is located in the west of Yunnan province with the northwest side higher than the southeast. The highest elevation is 2875.9m, and the lowest point is 608m. It belongs to subtropical monsoon climate including four climate zones.Changning is a multi-ethnic county with mountainous territory,which is located in the joint of Dali,Lincang and Baoshan. Changning County has a vast of mountain area accounted for 97.05%.Its great land and favorable climate provided an excellent natural conditions for the production of rice, corn and wheat.The forest land accounts for 71.4% of the entire county,and forest coverage is 39.42%. There are numerous minorities live in this area,including Yis,Bai,Dai,Zhuang,Miao and Hui accounted for 9.8% of the population in this county.
