Honghe County (红河县) is located in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan province, China.The Baohua Township is located in the middle southern part of the Honghe County, 37 kilometers away from the county seat. The total area of the township is 121 square kilometers and the township has abundant land, forest and water resources.It is not rare to find the terrace in the world; however, you will be surprised by the numerous floors, large scale and exquisite skills of the building by Hani people living on the south coast of Red River and the south hills of Ailao Mountains. The terrace here can be regarded as a wonder in the terrace farming. Most terraces of Honghe lie in Baohua Town which is 37 km from the downtown of Honghe. Hani, Yi and Han people live here with the altitude ranging from 700 to 2435 meters. Mountains are tall and rugged; climate mild and rainfall moderate.
