--Yunnan Province, located in the borderland of China's southwestern area, was a paradise of living and propagation for dinosaurs at the late stage of Triassic period (2-1.8 million years ago). Fenglu County, about 90 miles from Kunming (the capital of Yunnan Province), is one of the regions where the distribution of dinosaur fossils is the most concentrated in China or even in the world, known as "the hometown of dinosaurs".

In the morning you will visit Lufeng Dinosaur Museum,Lufeng World Dinosaur Valley Park,the Ramapithecus Origin site.

--Since 1938, dinosaur fossils have been found constantly in Lufeng County in Yunnan Province. 24 categories of 33 species and hundred of complete dinosaur fossils have been unearthed. The discovery site for the skull, teeth fossils of the ramapithecus is listed as a "major cultural relics reserve unit" by the State Council. Four dinosaur fossils are exhibited in Lufeng Dinosaur Museum. The largest is more than nine meters long and the shortest is 2.4 meters long. Photos and diagrams of dinosaur fossils from all parts of the world are also exhibited.
 
---Lufeng World Dinosaur Valley Park,was newly built in 2007. Tourists from all over the world will soon enter the dinosaur kingdom, through the Jurassic world, interpreted the rise and fall of the Earth's evolution of life, sharing retirement wonders of the world circle the Earth.

In the afternoon , you will drive to Heijing, an old salty town in Chuxiong.You will walk around Heijing Old Town in the late afternoon.Overnight at a simple guesthouse.

The whole day you will visit Heijing Old Town including Zhutian Temple,Feilei Temple,Filial Archway,Heijing Confucius Temple,Zhenwu Temple, Dalong Temple,Wu's Compound.The main pedestrianised street has its usual crop of souvenir shops where apart from both white and black salt, the local speciality seems to be tiny hand sewn and embroidered slippers, no more than four centimetres in length. Many building feature intricately carved wooden shutters, stone lions and hand painted tiles and frescos. 
 
--Heijing Town had been famous for producing salt from Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-220 A.D.) until the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911 A.D.). Like other salt locations throughout the world, the commodity b rought vast wealth to the town’s merchants and it’s buildings and surroundings are a reminder of this.

In the late afternoon, you will drive to Yuanmou County,where is the origin of human being.It can date back to 1,700,000 years before.

Visit Yuanmou Earth Forest in the morning.Earth Forest, as a representative landscape in the county, comprises Xinhua, Bangguo, Wanbao and Tiger Leaping Beach, covering an area of 50 square kilometers. The Earth Forest came into being since geological movement and soil erosion one or two million years ago.
 
After lunch you will visit Yuanmou Apeman Site.In 1965, fossils of Yuanmou Man were discovered in Yuanmou County, Yunnan Province. Yuanmou Man, who lived 1.7 million years ago was the first Homo erectus ever found within the boundaries of China.

In the morning you will take a steamboat to visit Jinsha River, which is the upper part of Yangtze River.After lunch take the car to Chuxiong and visit Chuxiong Yis Ten-month Solar Calendar Park and Yiren Old Town.
 
--The Ten-month Solar Calendar Park, constructed with the aim to show the quintessence of world civilization, is a place combining the study of ethnic culture, the demonstration of folk customs, the exhibition of local art £¬trade and entertainment. It is actually a unique scenic spot embodying the marrow of the Yi heritage, as well as a dynamic museum of the Yi culture.

At night you will enjoy Yi's Bonfire Party with the dance and singsing of Yi Minority in Yiren Old Town.

In the morning visit Chuxiong Museum and learn the Yi's Minority culture in the museum.
After the museum,you can take the car to Kunming.
