Dulongjiang (Dulong River) rises from Boshulachen Snow Mountain in Tibet. The upper branch, Luoluo River and Mabiluo River, converge into Dulongjiang River. The Chinese part of Dulongjiang River is 250 km long. The river flows into Gongshan County from Dibuli and passes Maoding, turns west, passes Maku Village in Gongshan County and flows into Burma and joins Enmeikai River. The Dulongjiang Valley is where the 3 ethnic minorities - Dulong(Drung), Nu, Lisu, inhabit for ages. It lures adventurous travelers with its isolated natural beauty, original ethnic cultures and a mystical facial tattoo tradition. A dirt road connects the valley to the nearest town, Gongshan.
Now, walk in the street in front of the Dulong Township Government, there are a barrage of small supermarket, small vegetable stall and small restaurants. Visitors who come to Dulongjiang can find the roadside restaurants and enjoy the local snacks in the small restaurants.
