Geographical Location

Wuhua District is located in the northwest of Kunming, and Golden Road in the south,bordering Xishan district in the west.Northwest borders Fuming and Songming counties.There are two enclaves in the territory of Fuming County. A total area of 381.6 square kilometers, of which built area of 40.86 square kilometers.

Introduction

Wuhua District is under the jurisdiction of Kunming, Yunnan Province. It is one of Kunming five urban core cities,which get its name from Wuhua Mountain.Lots of universities and research institutes concentrate in Wuhua District,which is known as "cultural district".Wuhua District is the political, economic, educational and cultural center in Yunnan. The total area of Wuhua District is 381.6 square kilometers,10 street offices under its jurisdiction.

Wuhua District administer 10 Streets: Hua Mountain street(华山街道), Huguo street护国街道, Grand view Street大观街道, Longxiang Street(龙翔街道), Fengning Street(丰宁街道）, Lianhua Street（莲华街道）, Red Cloud street（红云街道）, Heilinpu street（黑林铺街道）, Phuket Street（普吉街道）, Westzhu street(西翥街道).

Ethnic Groups

11.08 percent of the population are Han, Hui, Bai, Yi, Naxi, Dai, Zhuang, Hani and other minorities.
