The 2012 Kunming Int'l Cultural Tourism Festival and Kunming Carnival is about to arrive, with the participation of 16 prefectural delegations of Yunnan Province and some international artistic troupes.
Having been held during each May Day holiday since 2000, the festival has become an inviting card of Kunming to many visitors from both home and abroad. Several international artistic troupes and delegatoins of Yunnan's 16 prefectures will present wonderful cultural performances in main parks and squares of Kunming, which are Nanping Street, Jinbi Square (Golden Horse Archway), East Pagoda Square, Green Lake Park, Zhenqing Square, Guandu Square, World Expo Garden, Guandu Old Town, Luosiwan Int'l Trade City, Yueyatang Park etc.
The festival will feature ethnic cultural shows, parade, tourism promotion events and tourist products exhibition, though the festooned float parade has been canceled due to the metro construction.
