Lijiang, the ancient capital of Yunnan's Naxi minority. Lijiang Ancient Town is a picturesque mountain citadel laced with canals and lanes. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Lijiang's remote location and the religious beliefs of the traditional ruling clans make it unique among China's ancient towns in that it has never had a city wall, lending it a charming sense of openness and connection to the surrounding alpine splendor.

Lijiang Ancient Town is a largely Naxi settlement first built 800 years ago, located at the foot of the Lion Hill and completely surrounded by the new city of Lijiang.In December 1986, the State Council designated it a famous ancient historical and cultural city of national caliber. In 1997, UNESCO made Lijiang a World Cultural Heritage Site.
You will visit the Black Dragon Pool Park and Lijiang Ancient Town which is in the form of an official ink stone. 
Mu’s Residence is located in Lijiang Ancient Town.The ancestors of the Mus date back of the time before the Tang Dynasty. When Kublai Khan of Mongolia passed by Lijiang to conquer Dali in 13AD, Aliang, the head of the Naxi people, surrendered to him initiatively. In1382, Ade, the governor of Lijiang submitted to the authority of the Ming Government. The first emperor of Ming, Zhu Yuanzhang, granted the surname of Mu to Ade, and appointed him to be the magistrate of this place. In the middle of the Qing dynasty, the title of the governor that the emperor granted was changed into Tu Tongpan.
After lunch,you’ll head for Lion Hill.As an integral part of Lijiang Ancient Town and the major nation-level scenic spot, the Lion Hill Park is located in the centre of Lijiang city. The hill massif is like a lion, thus getting the name Lion Hill. With ancient buildings lying around at the foot of Lion Hill, it is the best place for you to enjoy the panoramic view of the Lijiang Ancient Town.  
Visit Baisha Murals in Baisha Ancient Town and Yuhu Village in the late afternoon.
Yuhu Village is on the outskirts of Lijiang Basin at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The houses were made of a unique stone called monkey head by Naxi people. The stone is comprised of a substance between stone and mud. 

At 6:00, drive to Qiaotou Town, it takes 2 hours on the trip. Tiger Leaping Gorge hike tour is one of the most beautiful trekking tour of Yunnan Province. Your hiking trip starts from Qiaotou.About two hours trekking in the upper Tiger Leaping Gorge, you will arrive at Naxi Family and have lunch there.It is easy trekking from Qiaotou to Naxi Family, but beautiful scenery.
 After lunch, a trekking from Naxi Family to 28 zigzagging turns will be a challenge for you.From the top of "28 turns" on the high path further uphill to a place of altitude above 3000m, you can have a view of the panorama of the entire Gorge. Then go pass Tea Horse Guest House (5 hours) and arrive at Halfway Guesthouse (2500m) to finish today's trekking. The total trekking route is 26 km, and it takes about 6-8 hours.

After trekking , overnight in Halfway Guest House.

In the early morning, continue hiking to Tina's Inn (2 hours) after another hour walking down the steep cliff to the bank of Jinsha River to the Middle Gorge (Middle Hutiao or Middle Rapids), worship the dangerous shoal of "Starriness", it is the most narrow part of the gorge, where a tiger can easily jump over the Jinsha River. 

After finishing today’s trekking,you will take the coach to Shangrila from Tina’s Guest house.Upon arrival Shangrila,spend the day around Shangrila, to get accustomed to the altitude. Visit Songzanlin Monstery, home to over 700 monks, and go bike riding out the Napa Lake Watershed visiting Hamagou, Xiao Zhongdian and other villages on the way. That night, join with the local Tibetans in the town square for some spirited dancing. Overnight in Shangrila.

Travel from Zhongdian to Deqin, traversing several mountain ranges. Pass by Benzanlin, a small Tibetan town built by the river and have a wanderaround the streets. Further up the road, you will pass what is commonly referred to as the “Omega”, the first bend of the Jinsha River. As you nearDeqin, enjoy your first views of the Meili Snow Mountains. Overnight at a guesthouse in Feilaisi.

Get up in time to see the sunrise over the Meili Snow Mountains. Drive for an hour to Xidang Village where you will begin your hike to Upper Yubeng Village. Today’s hike will be strenuous – we will climb from 2,500 m ( 7,500 ft ) to over 3,500 m ( 10,500 ft ) at the pass – passing through beautiful, pristine alpine forest. (Total distance for the day: 17 km , 6 hours) Stay overnight at a guesthouse in Upper Yubeng.

Walk for 3 hours (6km) from Upper Yubeng Village to the “Camp” then for another hour (3km) onto the Ice Lake. Hike back down to Lower Yubeng Village (3 hours). Stay overnight in a guesthouse in Lower Yubeng.

If the weather is good, we’ll wake up to a clear view of the Mt. Kawagebo glacier. After breakfast we will hike to the Holy Waterfall ( 7 km , 2-3 hours), from which Yubeng’s name originated. Buddhists coming to this area on pilgrimages circumambulate the waterfall 13 times with the belief that this act will set them free from all sins from this life. In the early afternoon we’ll walk back to Yubeng Lower Village (2 hours) where we’ll rest up for the long hike the next day.

Walk along the least traveled path of Yubeng, from Lower Yubeng Village to Ninong.Upon arrival Ninong,you will come back to Shangrila by bus.Overnight in Shangrila.

Departure for Kunming from Shangrila,then transfer to your warm home.
