anyuhui Festival (March Festival) is annually held in lunar March in Mouding County, Chuxiong Prefecture.
Originating from the "Dragon King Temple Fair" in the Black Dragon Pool for praying rainfalls, the week-long festival has evolved into a grand trade fair for different ethnic minorities from all over Mouding County. During the festival (trade fair), ethnics such as Han, Yi, Miao and Hui etc dressed in their traditional costumes will go to the fair and put on colorful cultural shows. The "Left-foot Dance" (Zuojiaowu) by the Yi members appears as the exhilarant of the festival.
