Qianxinan stands in the slop area in southeast of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. Its overall terrain slops downward from northwest to south east. Most part of the prefecture belonged to karst plateau, and Karst terrain occupies over seventy percent of its territory.
The Dong Minority has the largest population among the 24 minority groups in Tongren Region. They live on rice, corn, wheat, sweet potato and jowar and like beef, pork, shrimp and pickled meat or vegetables.
The Miao girl also wears the silver lock and the silver collar weight in front of the chest; while, the silver cloak with many pretty silver-bell weights hanging, on the back. The earrings and bracelets are all made of silver, too. Only the two sleeves come into the view of the fire-red embroidery.
The altitude of Songppan city is about 2850m, which is not very high cpmapred with the cities located in Tibet, but it is high enough to cause some tiny symptoms of altitude sickness for some people such as diziness, hard breathing, insomnia and so on.

Leshan City has distinct seasons, abundant rainfall due to its location in the mid-subtropical zone. Moreover, influenced by the southeast monsoon and southwest monsoon, Leshan has a mild climate with an annual average temperature between 16.5C (61.7F) - 18C (64.4F).
Situated in the south region of Sichuan Province, Yibin City neighbors Luzhou City in the east, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in the west and Zigong City in the north within the province. The city also shares a boundary with Zhaotong City of Yunnan Province in the south.
Wenshan Puzhehei Airport stands 5 kilometers (3 miles) south of Yanshan County, 23 kilometers (14 miles) from Wenshan County. At present, it has flights to Kuming, Nanning and connecting flight to Guangzhou through Nanning. There are several ticket booking offices in counties of the prefecture.
Located in eastern Yunnan Province, Qujing is the headstream where the largest river in South China, the Pearl River initiates. It is bordered by Guizhou and Guangxi provinces in the east. The capital city of the province, Kunming lies about 130 kilometers (81 miles) west to it.
From Kunming to Yuxi, it takes approximately two hours by train. There are two bus stations in Yuxi. The Central Bus Station is located near the crossroad on Shanhu Rd. Buses to Kunming and other provincial cities start from there every day.
