  • Chuxiong Travel Tips

    June to September is the rainy season of Yuanmou Clay Forest. Neither the road nor the landscape in the scenic area is in good condition at this time. October to March is the best months in which to visit Yuanmou. Chuxiong is halfway along the highway from Kunming to Dali. Visitors can arrange their journey to Dali and Lijiang together with the tour to Kunming and Chuxiong.

  • Puer Travel Tips

    The Simao Airport lies at the south foot of the Wuliang Mountain, 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) west of the city outskirt. At present, direct flights to Kunming, Xian and Jinan are provided. If travelling to or from other cities, visitors should transfer to Kunming first. It is 40 minutes to Puer.

  • Lincang Travel Tips

    Lincang Airport is located in Boshang Town on the southwestern outskirts of Lincang city proper. Flights to Kunming have recently been increased from once a day to nine per week (there are now two flights on Tuesday and Friday). In addition, the airports of Puer and Dali now also offer flights which pass through Lincang.

  • Dehong Travel Tips

    Visitors can complete travel procedures at the frontier inspection stations in Luxi, Ruili and Wanting Development Zone of Ruili, and apply for the permission to have a one-day tour on the Sino-Burma border area. Visitors can get to the Muse of Burma. For the shopping loci, Jiegao Border Trade Zone and Bianmao Street are the first options.

  • Nujiang Travel Tips

    Visitors can get to Baoshan and Dali by air first, and then change to buses to Liuku. Dali is about eight hours' drive to Liuku, and four hours from Baoshan.

  • Xishuangbanna Travel Tips

    Jinghong (Xishuangbanna) Airport is located in the Gajiu Town in southern Jinghong City, about 5 kilometers (3 miles) from downtown Jinghong. At present, it has direct flights to Kunming, Lijiang and Dali. There are two flights a week to Chiang Mai, Thailand.
