Mengla Overview

勐腊县，是云南省西双版纳傣族自治州下辖县之一，县境位于西双版纳自治州东南部，总面积7056平方千米。勐腊县境东、南被老挝半包，西南隅与缅甸隔澜沧江相望，西北紧靠自治州首府景洪市，北面则与普洱市的江城哈尼族彝族自治县相邻。

2010年，勐腊县总人口为28.17万人。勐腊县是个少数民族聚居的县份之一，共有26个少数民族在这里繁衍生息，少数民族人中占全县总人口的70%。主要少数民族有傣、哈尼、瑶、彝。

2013年，勐腊县辖7个镇、3个乡(其中2个民族乡)，共有4个社区、52个行政村。2011年，勐腊县完成全县生产总值47.34亿元，三次产业结构优化为42:19:39。勐腊县旅游景点有磨憨边境贸易区、勐腊望天树、南腊河野趣漂流等景点。
