Geographical Location
Binchuan County (宾川县; pinyin: Bīnchuān Xiàn) is a county in the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture located in western Yunnan Province, China. The whole city covers an area of 2250 square kilometers and about 68 kilometers away from Dali City and 394 kilometers away from Kunming. Mount Jizu is located in Binchuan County which enjoys the reputation of being “ the fifth most renowned Buddhism Mountain in China.

Binchuan ——the pure land of Dali
In the south of beautiful Yunnan province, Jinsha River shore, the shade of Cangshan mountain and Erhai lake, there is a place rich in fruits named Binchuan. It is in the West of Dali, north of Lijiang, has a long history and splendid culture. The transportation in Binchuan is very convenient, only 50 kilometers away from Dali Airport. It is one of the earliest opening-up regions in Yunnan province.
Binchuan County has 2563 square kilometers land area and 358000 population. It is rich in resources, has good development prospects. The main advantage which is widely known is the "four-resource". Firstly, we have "heat resources" .BINCHUAN has reputation of "natural greenhouse" and "heat treasure zone", because of it has adequate light and heat. Those natural gifts make Binchuan become the birthplace of Arabica coffee in China, the famous fruit production place, the largest fresh grape production base in China. Secondly, we have "Land resource". Bichuan has 36000 square kilometers contracted arable land, 77000 square kilometers arable land in total and 220 square meters per people. The land resource is a important foundation for the development of agriculture. Thirdly, we have “Reiki”. BINCHUAN Jizu Mountain is bodhimanda of the early ZEN progenitor mahakasyapa. It is famous Buddhist shrines and tourist destination in South Asia, Southeast Asia. Fourthly, we have" overseas Chinese resource." BINCHUAN is a land of immigrants from ancient. There are four overseas Chinese communities and 8657 people returned from overseas in the county. Those people still retain the original language, food habits and clothing style of the country which they stayed.
Meanwhile, Binchuan has rich mineral resources, hydro energy, wind and solar energy resources. The hydropower stations which have installed capacity of 2.2 million kilowatts and the solar and wind energy generations which have 230,000 kilowatts generating capacity have been built. At the same time, BINCHUAN is the characteristic plateau agriculture demonstration in Yunnan, the famous land of Citrus in China, the home of grapes in China, national demonstration zone of export food quality and safety of agricultural production, Circular Economy outstanding brand city of China, the top ten counties of China's charming new rural.
