Geography position

Xichou County (西畴县; pinyin: Xīchóu Xiàn) is located in Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan province, China..Xichould County stand in the middle of Wenshan,the Tropic of Cancer cut across Xichou County.  Xichou County is 63.6km long and 59km wide.It boeders on Malipo County in southeast,Panlong River is aparted in the southwest and Maguan County is on the other side. Wenshan and Yanshan in the west, Guangnan County is aparted by Dama River in the northeast.Xichou County locates in the south of Yun-Gui Plateau. The topograghy is high in the north and middle,and low in the southeast and southwest.Rilling hills within the county and the topograghy is complicated.The principal mountatin present northwest trend to southwest.

Introduction

Xichou County is located in Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan province, China. There is an iron factory called Shanliang locates in the north,Wanjia Village locates in the southwest of Xichou county,Shangliang Mountain locates in the northwest of Xichou County .The total area land is 1506km in Xichou County,1135mk belongs to bareness and partial bare area which account for 75.4% of total proportion.The highest altitude is 1962.9m and the lowest altitude is 654m.The main science spots are: Xiao Qiaogou National Nature Reserves (小桥沟国家级自然保护区); karst cavesin Chahe of Xinjie(兴街岔河溶洞群);Xaingping Mountain  Rare Arboretum(香坪山珍稀植物园); Tangguo National sun village(汤果民族太阳村); Cliff painting of Lion mountain(狮子山崖画); Xisa  Immortal Cave (西洒仙人洞) Old Stone Age ruins(旧石器时代遗址);Nanjiang Martyrs Cemetery(南疆烈士陵园.)

Xichou county jurisdiction over 2  townships ,8 villages by the end of 2000: Xisa Township(西洒镇)、Xingjie Township(兴街镇)、JIjie village(鸡街乡)、Bengu village(蚌谷乡)、Pingzhai Village(坪寨乡)、Bolin village(柏林乡)、Lianhuatang village(莲花塘乡), Xinmajie village(新马街乡)、Dadou village(法斗乡)、Dongma village(董马乡).
