Drive to Halong Bay. Enjoy the great scenery of the surrounding farmlands of the Red River Delta including rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life.On arrival in Halong, you will board the junk boat, a fantastic way to experience the bay. Halong Bay covers an area of 1,500 km over which thousands of limestone islands and grottoes rise from the clear emerald waters of the Gulf of Bac Bo. If you prefer kayaking, bathing or simply soaking in the sun then feel free to do so. At night, the boat anchors away at the Bay, enabling you to enjoy the quietness and romance of the region under the stars!

Morning sightseeing (Cyclo Hanoi City Tour: 8 am – 4:30 pm). Start visiting Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum and his house on stilts in the grounds of the Presidential Palace. Continue to the One-pillared pagoda, Dien Huu Pagoda. Your final stop this morning will be the Temple of Literature. Afternoon visits to the Ngoc Son Temple which is situated on a small island in picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake. Complete your day with a leisurely one-hour cyclo tour through the historic Old Quarter of Hanoi. Then you will attend a performance of Vietnamese Water Puppet Show.

Enjoy your time at the market, walk around, bargain and take in the sights and sounds of local life.After exploring the market take a short drive to the Chay river. Sail down the gently flowing waters, lined by corn and vegetable fields, passing beautiful villages, impressive waterfalls, gorges and caves as you journey downriver. Stop halfway down the river to visit Trung Do, a village of the Tay minority people.Take time to explore the farms where they grow exotic chillis and jack fruit.Sail a further 15 minutes down stream to Bao Nhai village and have a late lunch in a local restaurant.

Jianshui Confucius Temple, Jianshui Swallow Cave, the sunset of Laohuzui Rice Terraces |
In the morning, visit Jianshui Confucius Temple near Jianshui Ancient Town, then drive about half an hour to the Swallow Cave which is the largest cave in east Yunnan Province. You will walk into the end of the cave, then take the boat back to the entrance. A bare-handed rock climbing show up perilous cliffs can be seen everyday and is arranged by the administrative department. Every year, from August 8 to 18, the "Collection of Bird Nest" activity is staged.
Drive to Yuanyang in the afternoon. On arrival in Yuanyang, if you are lucky enough, you will enjoy the sunset of Laohuzui Hani Rice Terraces in Panzhihua Town. Visit the Mengnong Chieftain Palace and stay there in the late afternoon.
--Jianshui Confucius Temple
The biggest temple in Yunnan.Located near the north Gate of Jianshui. Its scale is second only to that of the Qufu Confucius temple in Shandong Province and is now one of the provincial historical relics.
--Jianshui Swallow Cave
Located in the 30km east of Jianshui, known as one of the biggest and most splendid cave in Asia, consisting of a dry cave ,a water cave and a 30,000sqkm natural forest ,with a total area of 100,000 sqkm. In spring and summer, thousands of swallows fly here from Malaysia,building nests and giving birth to and raising young swallows .Thus it is named "The Swallow Cave" .

--The Chaoyang Gateway Arch
Built in 1389Ad, it stands in the center of city as the symbol of this ancient military town in the southeast border and an emblem of Jianshui,a historic and cultural city. Its significance to Jianshui is the same as that of Tian' Anmen to Beijing.The Arch was built as the town's east gate tower (The Yinghui Gate). Through 600 years' vicissitude, the Chaoyang Gateway Arch is the only extant tower. Today, it is a public cultural center of Jianshui County.
--Zhu Family Garden
With a total area of 20k sqkm and a floor space of 5k sqkm, The grand complex is a typical local residence with distinctive features.As it was built by Zhu brothers in the late Qing Dynasty,it got the name "the Private Garden of the Zhu Family.
--Shuanglong Bridge(Twin Dragons) - 3km west of Jianshui, the 17-Arch Bridge arches across the confluence of the Lujiang River and the Tachong River. Although the 17 spans were built in different eras, they matched perfectly, with 3-storied pavilion sitting in the middle and 2 at the ends of the bridge. It is considered one of the beautifully built ancient bridge of the nation, and has been classified as an important cultural relic under provincial protection.
--Tuanshan VillageTuanshan Village - centries old,13km west of Jianshui City. Built in Qing Dynasty, regarded as the Gem of Chinese Civil Houses.Visiting Tuanshan Village is like travelling to another China. Small, cobbled lanes and old women with bound feet blend leave you with impressions of timelessness, art and architecture.

In the morning ,drive to visit the Stone Forest in the morning. There is a local saying: 'It is a waste of time not to visit the Stone Forest while visiting Kunming', which vividly expresses the deep love of the local people toward this world wonder. After lunch drive about 80KM to Kunmning to visit the landmark of Kunming-the Golden Horse and Phoenix Archway, which is located at the corner of Sanshi Road and Jinbi Road. And then, we will take a leisurely stroll along the Green Lake, a charming area of teahouses and small boutiques selling handicrafts and beautiful local paintings.

You will drive 86 km to the Stone Forest. An old local saying says that 'If you have visited Kunming without seeing the Stone Forest, you have wasted your time.' Truly, the Stone Forest is one of the most important attractions of Yunnan. After lunch drive back Kunming to visit the Guandu Ancient Town which is a famous historical & cultural town in Kunming; it keeps the main architectural style of Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties.
After dinner, you will have an option to enjoy the large-scale dance drama "Dynamic Yunnan" which has been an outstanding innovation on the Chinese stage in recent years directed by Yang Liping. Primitive, unsophisticated folk dances and a fresh artistic concept converge in the programme, giving audiences a unique "Yunnan Impression." Sixty-two drums and 120 masks of strong ethnic characteristics are incorporated in the performance.
-- The Stone Forest is in Shilin Yi Nationality Autonomous County, which is about 120 kilometers from Kunming and requires only a three-hour drive. It covers an area of 400 square kilometers (96,000 acres) and includes both large and small stone forests, as well as many other scenic spots. The Stone Forest has unique karst topography which is one of the best of its kind within China. There are six scenic spots in the Stone Forest: the Greater Stone Forest, the Lesser Stone Forest, the Naigu Stone Forest, the Zhiyun Cave, the Long Lake, the Da Dieshui Waterfall and the Qifeng Cave.
-- --Guandu Ancient town is of long history, it is the birth place of Dian Culture. As early as Nanzhao Dali period, it was a big town and hub of the east bank of Dian. It was inhabited 4000 years ago. It has a ferry in Song Dynasty, and many official boats stopped at the ferry, got out of the boat and rode a horse or sit in the litter to get into Kunming. So it got its name “Guandu” (Guan Means official, Du means Ferry). In Ming and Qing Dynasty, it became a developed business and handicraft center.
