The prelude of your 8 days guided tours of China starts when you meet our professional local guide at Beijing Airport after reclaiming your luggage and clearing customs. Your guide will accompany you in a comfortable vehicle to the hotel and help you with the check-in procedure. The rest of the day is left for you to have a good rest or to become familiar with our capital city on your own. 

Today your memorable tour starts! You will meet your group members in the hotel lobby and have a short meeting. Then head to the first stop, Tian'anmen Square, the biggest urban city square in the world. From there you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but appreciate numerous ancient art treasures. At noon, an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) will be served at a superb local restaurant, where you can have a taste of the authentic Chinese food. 

In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors worshipped the heavens in hopes of good harvests.  To round out a memorable start to your travel, we will arrange a lively and dramatic Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theater. 

The morning itinerary will take you to Badaling to experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall and a jade factory. We suggest you wear a pair of comfortable shoes as you need to climb steps to get on the wall. Standing on the wall and looking at it stretching up and down into boundless distance is an exciting experience and will leave you a life-long memory. 

To celebrate and commemorate this moment, we specially provide red wine for a group-toasting on the Great Wall. The restaurants nearby are not up to our serving standard, so we do not arrange lunch today. We suggest you have a big breakfast in the hotel and have some fast food for lunch by yourself. Our guide will show you some restaurants around. 
 
In the afternoon, the journey will take you to the Sacred Way. En route to downtown, you will have a chance to see the exterior of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium). 

The first stop of today's itinerary is the Summer Palace - the largest existing imperial garden with a graceful landscape and magnificent constructions. Then we will go to a pearl store. After that, we will serve you an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) at a fancy restaurant with delicious food and great atmosphere. 

In the afternoon, a trip to the old Hutongs will conclude your memorable Beijing trip. Taking the local rickshaw and traveling along the narrow lanes, you will get a close touch with the original Beijing lifestyle and culture. 

Then your guide will see you off at the airport for the flight to Xian. On your arrival in Xian, the local guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area and transfer you to the downtown area to check in at the hotel for a two-night stay.

The visit to the magnificent Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum will start your day's trip. In the museum, there are altogether three excavated pits exhibiting amazing warrior figures and Chinese ancient weapons. No wonder a great site to learn about Chinese ancient military affairs. Then a pottery making factory is scheduled. At noon, a special home-cooked a la carte lunch (valued at CNY100.00 per person and included in our price) will be served to you at a local home. Particularly, you can learn to cook Chinese food from the hostess. It is a good chance for you to learn more about the local people and will be one of the most memorable parts of your trip. 

In the afternoon, you will visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built about 1,300 years ago in the Tang Dynasty to store the Buddhist scriptures brought from ancient India. A splendid evening is in store when you will be entertained by the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show while partaking of the famous Dumpling Dinner.

After breakfast, you will pay a visit to the City Wall. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China. Cycling on the ancient wall is a special experience that many people like to try (bike rental fee is not included). Then head for Shaanxi History Museum. You will enjoy an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) at a famous local restaurant. 

In the afternoon, you will board the flight to Kunming. Your local guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel.

At 8:30am, Our English speaking guide pick you up at the hotel lobby, then departure from hotel ,  drive 1.5 hours to visit the Stone Forest which vividly expresses the deep love of the local people toward this world wonder. The quintessential karst landscape makes every tourist lost in wonder. 
After the tour, transfer back to Kunming downtown 1.5hrs. Stroll in Green Lake and Flowers and Birds Market. Before the evening transfer to railway station to take the overnight train to Dali reference train number K9626 (23:30-06:42+1)

Early in the morning, arrive at Dali Railway station. After meeting with your local guide at railway station, transfer to hotel to drop off your luggage.(breakfast on your own account)     
Remark: If the room available, you can make the free early check in.
Then you visit the Three Pagodas which is made of three ancient independent pagodas forming a symmetrical triangle. Afterward, you’ll cruise in Erhai Lake by the small boat in the east Erhai Lake. You will enjoy the green Cangshan Mountain and the Three Pagodas from a far as well as lots of birds and seagulls flying over the lake.
Later, you will head for Xizhou Town to fully appreciate Bai-style traditional architectural courtyards, taste their fragrant Three-Course Tea and explore their distinctive culture. Visit Zhoucheng Village and the Bai people's Tie-dying cloth workshop where you can take some special souvenir with the Bai ethnic style.
At last, you will visit the Ancient Dali Town, walk around the Foreigner Street and enjoy the relax time with local people.

After breakfast, transfer 2-2.5 hours to Lijiang. (only Chinese speaking driver with this transfer ) with the beautiful farmlands and ethnic villages on the way. 
Upon arrival, you’ll head for the scenic Black Dragon Pool and the Dongba Museum to explore the rich Naxi minority culture. Then explore Lijiang Old Town. Lijiang Old Town has a history more than 800 years; it was listed as the World Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO 1997. Here you will see the wonderful wooden architecture of Naxi ethnic people. You will explore the Mu’s Residence, Lion Hill and Wangu Tower in the old town. 
Finally move to check in your hotel which located in Baisha Village. After checking , you can make a nice stroll around this village.

Today you will continue to have a relax tour in Lijang. Firstly stop at Joseph Rock’s former Residence in Yuhu Village, Joseph is an Austria-American botanist and explorer, lived in Yuhu village and other places of the region from 1922 to 1949. He was both a naturalist and a photographer, and the first foreign scholar to introduce Lijiang ethnic culture to the western world. Then enjoy your relax time in Shuhe Old Town UNESCO has listed it as an important component of Lijiang as it is a well-preserved example of a town along the ancient tea route and one of the earliest settlements of the ancestors of Naxi people. It is called 'the hometown of springs'.

At 07:30am, pick up from your hotel, then you'll drive about 60KM to the First Bend on the Yangtze River with imposing gorge scenery, visit the Iron Chain Bridge, the Red Army's Long March Memorial Monument in the Shigu town. The town of Stone Drum got its name from a large, cylindrical, marble tablet shaped like a drum. The scenery is magnificent as the road running through the Lijiang valley which is filled with wheat fields and drying haystacks.
Continue to Visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge, upon arrival, star your trekking from Tina’s G.H ---- Half way G.H. ( 1.5hrs ) ---14km point ( 2hrs )
After the trekking, continue drive to Shangri-La (2hrs ) Check in hotel. Then stroll around Dukezong Ancient Town, an important town of the Ancient Tea-horse Trade Caravan from Yunnan to Tibet and India. Walk up to the top of Guishan Hill or tortoise Hill, you will see the largest Prayer Wheel of the world and have a panoramic view of shangrila county and Dukezong Ancient Town.

Morning star your tour from Napahai Lake, eight kilometers northwest of the county town of Shangri-La. Many rare birds inhabit here among which is the well-known black-necked cranes, the first-class animal protected by the state and a lot of birds circle over the water from September to March of next year. It is also the largest grassland of Shangri-La covered with green grass. Continue to visit the Ganden Songzanlin Monastery, the largest Tibetan monastery in Yunnan. Songzanlin Monastery has another alias - 'the little Potala Palace ', so named because the whole monastery is in the traditional style with mysterious atmosphere. Then have a stop at a local Tibetan Family to know about their local life. 
After the tour, about 15:00 you will transfer 4 hrs with your Chinese speaking driver to Lijiang. 
In the evening, Check in Baisha Holiday Resort Lijiang after arrival.

In the morning, you will board the flight to Shanghai. Your local guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel.

A day journey will show you the essence of Shanghai. This morning, you will visit one of the four largest museums in our country, Shanghai Museum, which specializes in exhibiting art works from ancient times. After that, explore Yuyuan Garden. The symbol of the Garden is the Nine Zigzag Bridge built of granite and grass-white jade and the quaint, elegant mid-lake pavilion. Then a silk store is arranged. Afterwards, a farewell a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) will be served to you. In the afternoon, wander in the famous Bund area and Nanjing Road, and then visit an old street in Shanghai. Upon returning to the hotel, our guide will see you into the lobby to say bon voyage.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will travel to the airport for your homeward flight. Your 8 days China tour package is wane to the close with wonderful memories. We suggest you reserve a taxi at the hotel reception beforehand to avoid having to wait for a taxi outside. The trip to Pudong Airport (PVG) will take about one hour and cost between CNY150 to CNY200. Ensure you have at least 30 minutes' drive if your flight leaves from Hongqiao Airport (SHA). The cost for the taxi there is about CNY50. Please check carefully from which airport your flight will depart. We wish you a smooth journey home.
