Ning'er Hani and Yi Autonomous County (simplified Chinese: 宁洱哈尼族彝族自治县; traditional Chinese: 寧洱哈尼族彝族自治縣; pinyin: Níng'ěr Hānízú Yízú Zìzhìxiàn) is an autonomous county under the jurisdiction of Pu'er Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. The population of the county has a large proportion of native Hani and Yi people in a predominately Han Chinese population. As of 2003 the county records a population of approximately 190,000 people. The transportation condition of Ning'er Hani and Yi Autonomous County is extremely convenient. Bus transportation is the main travel means here.
China National Highway 213 (G213) runs from Lanzhou in Gansu to Mohan in Yunnan. It is 2827 kilometres in length and runs via Chengdu, Sichuan and Kunming, Yunnan. This route was a key transportation route into the disaster zone during the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, and was referred to as a "lifeline" by rescue workers. On 6 July 2011, it was damaged by mudslides and collapses, including a 400m stretch which was damaged as a result of the nearby river being diverted by a mudslide.
