Recently, 7 university students in Wuhan, central China's Hubei Province, created a special map of China made from 1500 bottle caps, hb.people.com.cn reported on September 25, 2013.
These bottle caps were divided into 5 different colors to indicate different provinces and cities, and the creators also put a cap with a university logo in each province, showing a mixture of the map and university cultures.
He Haiping, one of the map creators, told a reporter that they collected some of the caps from other dormitories, and purchased some online.
He said they decided to use bottle caps to create the map due to the ease of attaining them, as well as for environmental reasons.
