Main attractions include Cangyuan Cliff Paintings(沧源崖画), Wengding Wa Primitive Village（翁丁原始村落）, Guanyun Buddism Temple(广允佛寺), Nangun River Nature Reserve(南滚河自然保护区), Banhong Anti-British Battle Monument（班洪抗英纪念碑），Menglai Cliff（勐来崖厦）Menglai Palm Beach(勐来董棕林),Canglong Cave( 藏龙洞)，the Stone Buddha Cave（石佛洞）, and the High Tower standing on the borderline in Banlao village.

When to visit

Cangyuan located in Lincang Prefecture, southwest of Yunnan, it enjoys hot and mild  temperature all year around. But the temperature difference between day and night , especially in spring and winter. Therefore, if you go to Cangyuan during these two seasons, please take some warm clothes .Cangyuan  is a city for tour available all year around, however the best time to go there is from March to October. Because there are many festivals of ethnic minority group, and plenty of fruits and flowers during these month.

 It’s easier to get around in Gengma  if you know some basic Mandarin, especially when ordering food, but there are a number of important points of business etiquette to remember too. Confucianism, with its attention to demeanour , harmony, and preservation of “face,” plays a central role.Meetings always begin with a handshake. Give a slight nod and don’t be too vigorous when shaking hands, it could come across as be ing aggressive. Stay away from physical contact after this, including pats on the arm. If a host is guiding you they may tug your sleeve.Have business cards translated on one side. It is considered fortuitous if they are printed in gold ink. Be sure to place received cards in a case rather than your pocket. Avoid humour since jokes may not come across as you intend.
