Geographical Position

Maguan County (马关县; pinyin: Mǎguān Xiàn) is located in Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnanprovince, China. Maguan County locates in the southeast of Yunnan Province, in the south of Wenshan. Connecting to Malipo County in the east, bordering on the Vietnam in the south,adjacent to Hekou and Pingbian County in the southwest,juncture of Wenshan in the north,Xichou County bordering on the Panlong River on the other side in the east.79km from the east to the west,61km from the north to the south,the narrowest distance is 24.7km.

Introduction

Maguan County belong to Honghe River and Lujiang River.There are 42 rivers in total,major rivers are Panlong River,Nameguo River,Xiangshui River,Xiaobai River,Nanpu River,Nanbei River,Nanhong River,Dananxi River and so on.Maguan county climate types across north tropics, south Asian tropical, subtropical and tropical in north Asia.It is hot in lower valley,warm in the waist of mountain,warm and cool in the alpine area.It won't too cold on winter and too hot on summer,the climate is obvious between dry season and rainy season.Annual average temperature is on 16.9 centigrade,annual average rainfall is 1345mm,annual sunshine duration is 1804hrs and frost-free period is above 300 days.The man science spots are:Zhongshan park in Maguang ( 马关中山公园), Anping Square (安平广场), Laojunshan nature reserve (老君山自然保护区)

Maguang county has 9 townships,4villages by the end of 2012.They are:Baima Township( 马白镇)、Pojiao Township(坡脚镇)、Bazhai Township(八寨镇)、Renhe Township(仁和镇)、Nucahng Township(木厂镇)、Jiahanqian Towship夹寒箐镇、Xiaobazi Township(小坝子镇)、Dulong Township(都龙镇)、Jingchang Township(金厂镇)Nanlao village(南捞乡)、Dalishu village(大栗树乡)、Miechang village( 篾厂乡)、Gulinqin village(古林箐乡).
