The Gaoligong Mountains are located along the west bank of the Nujiang Valley; from Gongshan county down in to Dehong Prefecture, a distance of approximately 500 kilometres (310 mi). It is the drainage dividebetween the Nujiang (Salween River) and the Irrawaddy River. The main peak is Ga her (嘎普) peak, 5,128 metres (16,824 ft) above sea level.The mountains contain part of the Nujiang Langcang Gorge alpine conifer and mixed forests ecoregion.
When you come to Gaoligongshan, you can enjoy the charming scenery there and you can also get up the mountain then take a fresh breath. The Gaoligong Mountains (高黎贡山) are around 500-kilometers long, and run north to south near the Yunnan-Myanmar border. They form the western wall of the Nu River Valley. There are numerous trails that cross the range, several of which are already on the radar of Chinese hikers.
In Gaoligongshan, there are a lot of entertainment activities and shopping boothes. Visitors can go shopping and have fun there.
