Situated between man and Nature Hall and International Hall, the International Outdoor Exhibition Area stretches across a valley, elevated in the north and south. The 34 exhibition units in 6 exhibition sections for Asia, Europe, America, Africa, Oceania and International Organizations respectively are arranged along the main road- the Friendship Road.
The Asia section covers about 16,000 square m. which is the site for some one dozen countries like Japan, Thailand, Israel, Pakistan and so on. Its Architecture highlights the styles of East Asia, South Asia in the tropical zone and Muslim countries. The 17,000 square m. Europe section contains 15 countries including France, Holland, Austria and Bulgaria. All the European gardens reflect the advanced horticultural and gardening technology of those countries and their cultural features. The section for America occupies apiece of land 10,000 square m. in area, presenting the United States of America, Canada, Peru and other countries with their cultural aspects.
The Africa section is some 1,000 square m. in size. It contains Egypt, Sudan and other countries, with the focus on the image of pyramid of Ancient Egypt and other indigenous African cultural features. The Oceania section covers 2,000 square m. and is dedicated for Australia for its gardening style. In addition to these international gardens, le Bureau International des Exposition (BIE) and l'Association Internationale des Producteurs de l'Horticulture (AIPH) have built a garden jointly to demonstrate the international exhibition affairs and international gardening.
