Yunnan Radio Museum is the first radio broadcast museum and a specialized cultural museum in China. The museum was built in August 8, 2006. Its first show was in September 6, 2006 for commemoration of the 100th anniversary of broadcasting. At present, there are 52 thousand radio recordings and more than 150 thousand songs in the museum. It displays the history through pictures, audio-visual and multimedia setting out new broadcasting styles. Yunnan Radio Museum was selected for the installation to showcase the impact television and radio has had on China in the past 60 years.
