Otherwise called "da ba ba" by the Yao ethnic members, it is cooked from lard, glutinous rice and pork--all of which are mixed and wrapped in 10-cm-long bamboo leaves.
Bundled by olive-bark threads, they can be kept for a long time after being cooked. Besides the Dragon Boat Festival, other major celebrations and festivals usually see Yao ethnic people also treat guests with this kind of food.
