The Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (YAAS) is the most comprehensive agricultural research organization in Yunnan Province. The YAAS implements the nation's regional agricultural development strategy and is responsible for the province's overall, critical, strategic and main researches in agricultural science and technology, in particular the task of collecting and preserving crop germplasm resources as well as new variety selection and breeding.

Academic exchange arrangement between Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, People's Republic of China
Purpose
Through this academic exchange arrangement (AEA), the participants will endeavour to encourage further scientific and academic collaboration in agriculture and agri-food.
Objective
The objective of the AEA is to create a framework for collaborative activities that will:
Provide each of the participants with opportunities to exchange research scholars or graduate students, scientific materials, publications and information;
Foster scientific and academic co-operation through mutually beneficial activities, such as research projects, courses, conferences, symposia and technology transfer.
