1. Lincang Airport is located in Boshang Town on the southwestern outskirts of Lincang city proper. Flights to Kunming have recently been increased from once a day to nine per week (there are now two flights on Tuesday and Friday). In addition, the airports of Puer and Dali now also offer flights which pass through Lincang.
2. Lincang is a convenient stop-off point for travelers on their way to Burma. The city has three counties which border Burma: Cangyuan, Gengma and Zhenkang. Mengding Port of Gengma on the Qingshui River is also 187 kilometers (116 miles) from Lashio, one of the most important cities in Northern Burma.
3. Lingcang is about nine hours' drive from Kunming and the long-distance bus station in Lincang is situated in Xinmin Jie of Linxiang District.
