Overview:

Yangzong Lake Holiday Zone is located in Yiliang’s Yangzong Lake between Kunming and the Stone Forest, about 30 kilometers away from the downtown of Kunming. The lake is 1,770 meters above the sea level and covers an area of some 30 square kilometers. “Yangzong” is derived from “Qiangzong Tribe” who lived here in Dali Kingdom Period (937-1253) of the Song Dynasty (960-1279). About 30,000 people rely on the Lake as their drinking water. Yangzonghai Lake is noted for its underwater springs and is one of several scenic areas in Yunnan province, which is known for its biodiversity. The lake is a popular resort destination for people living in the nearby provincial capital of Kunming, which itself borders Dianchi Lake, one of China's biggest freshwater lakes
