Yunnan Baiyao is one of the Chinese traditional medicines (TCM). It was firstly developed by a folk doctor named Qu Huanzhang in 1914. It turns out to be white thus is named “Baiyao” (white medicine). With a history of more than 90 years, it has been dubbed as panacea and miraculous cure etc. In 1955, Qu’s wife Miao Lanying and his eldest son donated the secret formula voluntarily. As arranged by the government, it was put into practice in Kunming’s pharmacy and named Yunnan Baiyao. Contained in Yunnan Baiyao are many ingredients from TCM herbals and the main component is pseudo-ginseng from Wenshan Prefecture. Functioning as excellent styptic and cures for many cancers, it’s also able to better blood circulation, ease injuries, and detoxify bloodstream, etc.
