He said that the exotic landscapes, colorful ethnic customs, profound history and culture, and multiple but compatible religion culture etc. all contribute much to the charm of Yunnan. "Yunnan Tourism as a whole could fall into six zones, each of which is unique and different from others. Except for Xishuangbanna that exhibits weather conditions similar to those of Singapore, Yunnan's Lijiang and Kunming (Spring City) etc. are ideal destinations for Singapore tourists to spend summer since the climate is pleasant all the year round in these places", added He.
As Kunming-Bangkok thoroughfare is tally opened to traffic, visitors from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand are on the increase for ever. In last August and November respectively, YNTA organized activities concerning driving tours from Kunming to Bangkok and extended to Singapore, thus making this golden tour route greatly promote the development of Yunnan's tourist market and the cooperation with tourism sector of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand etc.
"China and Singapore, the tourism resources and products of both being strongly complementary, have become important tourist markets and destinations to each other. Therefore, the Promotion is expected to propel the cooperation between tourism firms of both, and develop well-targeted and more suitable tourism products and routes to finally meet the demands of Singaporeans, who choose to travel in Yunnan Province", said Tian Xin, Director of PRC Tourism Office in Singapore.
