The Dai people have a traditional way for preparing "bamboo tube tea". Compared to other tea ceremonies, it is quite unique.
The tea is at first put into a fresh bamboo tube to be baked on a tripod of a firepit; when baked, the tube has to be continuously crammed with tea until it is full. When the tea is baked dry, it can be brewed in a bowl; and because of the bamboo tube, the tea tastes very special.
