Also called “bing fen” or “mu gua shui”, it is a Bai ethnic cool drink popular in the northwest of Yunnan Province--especially Dali. The jelly-like drink, which is mainly refined from the seeds of a kind of wild herbaceous plant, looks semi-transparent and offers a sweet refreshing taste. And, it is available in many snack stalls (for bean jelly and cool noodle) in Dali, Lijiang, and even Kunming.
