AirAsia now flies daily from KL to Kunming

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Bhd's four-times weekly flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kunming will be increased to daily flights effective July 2, with added frequencies on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. In a statement today, the company said the additional flight frequencies would be available for booking online at AirAsia’s website from today until June 16 with promotional all-in-fares from as low as RM88 one-way. "Guests are able to travel from the commencement date of the new frequencies on July 2 until April 30, 2014," it said. It added that the promotional fares for the existing frequencies to Kunming on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday are also available from RM199 one-way, inclusive of taxes and fees for the same booking and travel period. Commercial Director Kenny Wong said: "The Kuala Lumpur-Kunming route was introduced in early December last year, and have enjoyed a healthy average load factor of over 80 per cent for the past six months. "There is an increasing trend in travel to Kunming and we are confident that the introduction of daily flights to the city will be received well," he added.
