A foreigner who knocked over a woman in Beijing will be deported along with his father after they were found to be here illegally, the capital police announced on Wednesday night.
The man knocked over the woman, surnamed Li, on a pedestrian crosswalk in Beijing's Chaoyang district last week. The accident drew public attention after a photographer uploaded their photos to an online forum.
The photographer, who didn't see the accident, wrote in the captions that the woman fell when a foreigner passed her on his motorbike and asked him to take responsibility for her fall when he came back to help her.
