BEIJING, Jan. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- The Communist Party of China is vowing to maintain it’s high pressure campaign to root out corruption, with a warning that the fight is vital for the CPC’s integrity in the long term.
A communique released on Wednesday, after the third plenary session of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC, stresses zero tolerance of graft, and promises to seriously punish every corrupt official found guilty.
According to the communique, the heads of the CPC committees at all levels should bear the main responsibility for fighting corruption. The communique says that senior officials should strictly adhere to Party discipline. And it emphasizes that more work must be done to return embezzled money taken out of China.
