China's Modern Ark aircraft will be grounded after a delayed landing triggered a safety scare on Tuesday night.
Flight BK2870 landed at Shenyang Taoxian International Airport at 8:24 pm, more than two and half hours late, an airline spokesman told Xinhua. No casualties were reported.
The self-developed commuter aircraft, carrying more than 30 passengers, took off at 4:42 pm from Tianjin Binhai International Airport.
Okay Airways, which owns the plane, said the instrument panel showed a landing gear malfunction.
Xi'an Aircraft Industry Company, the manufacturer of the plane, a Modern Ark (MA)-60 model, said it will report the fault to aviation authorities and have a full-scale check of its landing signal system.
Okay Airways began operating in 2005 as the first private airline in China. It currently has a fleet of 23 planes.
