The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a project loan for Yunnan Sustainable Road Maintenance (Sector) Project . Description: The project will rehabilitate 890 kilometers of trunk roads, many of which are connected with or form part of the northern and north-south transport corridors of the Greater Mekong Subregion. It will also test a performance-based road maintenance scheme for 164 kilometers of roads, introduce a computerized road asset management system, and improve the capacity of the local highway agency. It will help implement a policy and institutional reform roadmap which aims to make road maintenance more sustainable in Yunnan province. Amount: $80 million from ADB's ordinary capital resources.
