This year's Chunyun has officially began on January 16, and will last for 40 days until February 24. Airlines, railway stations, bus stations and expressways have launched a series of policies to ease the huge traffic pressure, including giving ticket discount, adding flights and trains, etc.

New direct air routes launched

Two new direct air routes connecting Kunming and Zhenzhou, Kunming and Hangzhou were launched by Kunming Airlines yesterday(Jan 21).

Flights of the newly launched Kunming-Zhenzhou air route go between the two cities everyday. The outbound flight, KY8211 in number, departs from Kunming at 16:50 and arrives in Zhenzhou at 19:00. Its inbound flight, KM8212 in number, takes off in Zhenzhou at 20:00, and lands in Kunming at 22:30.

Kunming-Hangzhou air route also has daily run flights going between the two cities. The outbound KY8233 flight departs from Kunming at 9:25 and arrives in Hangzhou at 11:45. The inbound KY8234 flight takes off in Kunming at 12:45 and lands in Hangzhou at 15:55.

Tickets for connecting flights discounted

From January 10, tourists who book connecting flights that connect Kunming with a city outside the province and a city in the province, can receive a 5% discount on tickets from Kunming Airlines Company. The discount is not active to tourists whose original flight tickets have already enjoyed discounts lower than 4.5%.

Besides, tourists are available to receive 20 yuan bonus with an invoice of taxi at No. 311 counter on F3 floor of Kunming Changshui International Airport. The requirement is that the tourist has to take off from Kunming with flight ticket discounts higher than 60%, and take taxis by Didi, a mobile APP for taxi booking.　　

Railway station is estimated to usher in passenger peak time next week

According to Kunming Railway Bureau, the average passenger volume of Kunming Railway Station exceeds 110,000 every day, as the Chinese Spring Festival holiday is approaching.

The passenger peak time in the railway station is estimated to come from January 25 to 28.
