About 1200 black-necked cranes arrived in Dashanbao Natural Reserve Areas to spend the winter in Zhaotong City, northeast Yunnan Province recently.
More and more black-necked cranes migrate to the natural reserve zone for the whole winter, since the environment has been increasingly improved in the recent years. The natural reserve zone was built in 2003, and is one of the largest habitats for black-necked cranes to spend the winter in China.
The black-necked cranes are the rare endangered animals globally and are classified as the key protected wild animals of the first level in China.
