Sino-North Korea Cultural Exchange, Cooperation Center inaugurated in Kunming

Sino-North Korea Cultural Exchange and Cooperation Center was formally inaugurated in Kunming on January 23rd.

Meanwhile, a North Korean Taste Restaurant named Azalea(Jin Dai Lai in pinyin) was opened on the same day.

According to Yunnan Provincial Culture Industry Management Office, the exchange center and the restaurant were successively approved in May and in November last year.

The Azalea North Korean Taste Restaurant is the first North Korean style restaurant set up in Kunming, which is located on the food street of Sai Kung Pier in Dianchi Lake Tourist Resort District.

It is introduced that the restaurant is run by Xinzhi Group.

"The restaurant, with an area of 3.000 square meters, totally contains 21 chartered rooms of North Korean characteristics. 500 people could have meals in the restaurant at one time," the manager of the restaurant Li Yong said.

Li Yong said that to help customers to know more about North Korea, the restaurant will display the North Korean national costumes, national handiworks in future.
