Amusement park opens in Lijiang

Lijiang Action Park, China’s highest amusement park in terms of overall elevation, opened in Lijiang on Oct 1. During the Golden Week holiday, the park received 10,650 visitors in total, Lijiang Daily reported.

The park is the first large amusement park in northeast Yunnan province. Visitors can enjoy more than 10 entertainment projects there, including luxury carousel, bumper cars and flying chairs. The park provides young people with a good chance to challenge themselves.

According to a staff member from Lijiang Action Park, since the start of construction, the park has aroused wide public interest. Before the construction of the amusement park, people in Lijiang had to travel 500 kilometers to another amusement park in Kunming. It was impossible for parents to spend a nice weekend with their children in an amusement park due to the long distance and travel time. The opening of the Lijiang Action Park has changed all of this. The 2,400-meter-high park has met the needs of the Lijiang people and provides Lijiang’s tourism market with more diversity. 1) Take bus no 16 to Lijiang’s accumulation fund management center and then walk about 200 meters.

2) Take bus no 23 to get to the Songcheng tourism zone directly.
