Xiong Chaozhong, a Yunnan boxing player, defeated his opponent Lukranc(transliteration), a Thai player in the fifth round of the Mini-Flyweight World Professional Boxer Championship Fight on November 30.
The fight that was normally organized by World Boxing Council(WBC) was held in Maguan county, Wenshan prefecture, Yunnan.
Maguan county is Xiong Chaozhong's hometown. Xiong successfully retained the championship title during the championship fight in his hometown.
After overcoming world boxing champion Javier Martinez, a Mexican player on November 24 last year, Xiong wore gold belt for WBC Mini Flyweight boxer, and became the first world professional boxing champion in China.
If Xiong can defend his championship titles for two times, he will own the gold belt for WBC world boxing champion permanently.
Xiong won 200,000 US dollars in the WBC fight that was held in his hometown. "I plan to donate 100,000 US dollars from the bonus to children in my hometown. Poor as I was during my childhood, I hope they could realize their dreams in the future," Xiong said.
