Not much that's green in two resorts in Southwest China's Yunnan Province. But they are causing a stir in China's tourism industry. Their reputations are growing as both are named to the country's highest award for tourism resorts - Five-A.

The China Tourism Industry Conference in Beijing, awarded 66 resorts the coveted Five-A endorsement. It's the highest honor a tourism resort can receive in China. The two from Yunnan province are the Shilin Stone Forest and the Yulong Snow Mountain.
The Shilin Stone Forest is known as one of the most spectacular geological marvels in the world. Formed more than 270 million years ago, the land of 350 square kilometers was designated as one of China's first national tourism resorts in 1982. In 2004, it became one of China's first world-class geo-parks. Earlier this year, it was named to the World Heritage List.

Yulong Snow Mountain
The Yulong Snow Mountain is the nearest to the tropical zone in the northern hemisphere. Its highest peak has never been conquered. In 2001, it was honored as one of China's first Four-A resorts. In 2006, it was voted as the favorite Chinese resort in Europe. At the foot of the mountain is the ancient town of Lijiang, another Chinese landmark named to the World Heritage List.
