Lijiang Songcheng Tourist Area, which is located about 6 kilometers away from Lijiang Old Town, was officially opened to the public from March 21. The tourist area has been constructed with an investment of 1 billion by Hangzhou Songcheng Tourism Development Co.

Incorporating culture and performance together, the area contains five theme parks that feature local cultural characteristics. Meandering through the area, tourists are free to stroke multitudinous historical relics laden with history, which may make them feel like traveling through the time. Historic culture and high-tech facilities integrate concordantly in the area, providing both archaic and modern entertainments to tourists.

The Lijiang Songcheng Tourist Area is one of Yunnan's key cultural projects, and has become a new operating model for various tourist areas. It includes dining, hotels, travel, shopping and entertainment. Tourists can now enjoy a one-stop travel experience in the area.

Tourists can visit five theme parks and watch ten shows in the Lijiang Songcheng Tourist Area with a through ticket. The through ticket price for the tourist area is 380 yuan per person. The through ticket is valid for two days, with which tourists can enter and exit by identifying fingerprints during the two days.

Tea Horse Ancient Town

With gurgling water flowing through, the town authentically restores a model of renowned Ancient Tea Horse Road. Tourists can ride horses to experience the tea horse road. According to the model design, the route starts from Dai villages of Xishuangbanna and ends in Tibetan villages, via Lisu villages, Tea Horse Ancient Town, Mosuo villages, camping sites for caravans, and Wa villages along the way.

The route is lined with various shops, with wine, roast, and buttered tea sending off fragrances, and jingle of horse bells and voices of peddling incessantly lingering on.

The Legend of Romance

The Legend of Romance consists of many romantic-themed areas, in which couples can enjoy sweetness of their relationships and understand the truth of love.

Within the area, tourists stand on the commanding height of Lijiang City. Tourists can have a panoramic view of Lijiang Ancient Town, Wenbi Lake(文笔海), and Yulong Snow Mountain there. If you are brave enough, you can appreciate a grand scenery on a glass-made viewing deck.

Besides, there is a Tongxin Bridge connecting two 50-meter-high Tibetan blockhouses. In Chinese tradition, couples who walked through the Tongxin Bridge will have a long and happy life together. Couples can also attach Tongxin Padlock (love padlocks) to the bridge to symbolize their lasting romance.

Dongba Culture Theme Theatre

The theatre has a height of 25 meters and a girth of 500 meters. It is crowned to be the biggest theme theatre of Dongba culture in the world, with 4,700 seats provided.

A large-scale song and dance performance , with an investment of 300 million, is presented to audience there everyday.

Nacuo Village(那措寨)

Nacuo Village is located beside Nacuo Lake(那措海). It is boasted to be another “Shangri-La” for its vast grassland and lake scenery.

In the daytime, tourists are available to ride horses on the grassland, or paddle a boat and fish in the Nacuo lake. When night falls, campfire parties and buttered tea will surely leave a memorable experience to all tourists.
