A 4.2-magnitude earthquake hits borderlands between China and Myanmar at 21.5 degrees north latitude, 100.6 degrees east longitude at 5:59 p.m. yesterday(September 22), source from CENC(China Earthquake Networks Center).
People in both Yunnan’s Xishuangbanna and Dehong prefectures that border Myanmar sensed shakes from the earthquake.
An official from Xishuangbanna government said window glass of many living quarters in the locality shook a bit heavily.
An official from Dehong government said that slight vibration from the quake could be felt in Mangshi, the capital city of Dehong prefecture.
Until now, no casualties are reported within the earthquake-hit areas.
