Kunming is rated as one of the most beautiful cities in China 2013 recently, ranking 16th among the 20 cities on the list.
The top 20 cities on the list, in order, are Hong Kong, Huizhou, Qindao, Zhuhai, Xinyang, Mudanjiang, Xuzhou, Liaocheng, Zhaoqing, Qinzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Dalian, Harbin, Taizhong, Kunming, Yantai, Lhasa, Guiyang, Liuzhou. Altogether three western cities make the list successfully, among which Kunming comes in first place, followed by Lhasa and Guiyang.
Beside the most beautiful city in China 2013, Kunming also has many other titles, such as the famous historic and cultural city, the best summer resort city, and the happiest cities in China, etc.
Kunming is deserved to make the lists, for possessing beautiful natural scenery, splendid historical sites, and colorful ethnic customs. Up to now, Kunming has over 200 cultural relics preserved by government at all levels.
