Dangsters: We make you dance

Everyone has a cherished dream in heart, some of them pursuit their dreams throughout their lives, while the others may just yield to their fates. Dancers of the Dangsters are exactly the previous ones. To persist in their street dance dreams, they have to overcome pressures from lives and their families, as well as to endure others’ incomprehension and derision. Therefore, Dangsters represent a spirit of perseverance and diligence to me, rather than a crew name.

Watching the performance reminds me the experience of dancing in Dangsters before. I had participated in this kind of result show for twice. Though rehearses are painstaking, I still felt very happy and enriched then. The hardships that hide behind the shining stages are beyond imagination. Dancers have to endeavor numerous time, sweats, and efforts to present their best performance to audiences.

Success always comes after persistence. Dancers of the Dangsters have persisted in their dance dreams for 11 years, and they will keep on dancing till the world ends.

A great feast of street dance, featuring amateurs and professional dancers, was presented by the Dangsters, a local street dance crew, at Yunnan Art Theatre on August 16.

With hundreds of dancers participated in, the performance showed 15 choreographies and lasted for about 2 hours.

The Dangsters Dance Crew is Kunming’s earliest professional dance crew, and has developed into the most renowned dance crew in Southwestern China. It was formed in 2002. Over 5,000 amateurs have been trained there. With two well equipped dance halls in Kunming downtown, the third one is going to be opened at Chenggong University Town soon.
