It is the National Holidays in less than one week, and the hotel bookings are getting tight in Yunnan, especially in Lijiang, Dali and Shangri-la, the most hottest tourist destinations in the province. More than 10,000 tourists have booked their rooms within the latest seven days. The booking rate is twice of that in usual.
According to Qunar.com, a tourism consulting website in China, one week before the national holidays hotels will see the reservation peak. From October 1 to 5 is the period with the highest occupancy rate. Some most popular destinations during the upcoming holidays in China are as follows: Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Xi’an, Chengdu, Hong Kong, Jiaxing, Qingdao, Nanjing and Lijiang. Among them, the reservations in Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu and Lijiang show the sharpest rise.
As introduced by a hostel in Shuanglang Town, Dali, the rooms before November have been fully reserved. Many customers are from Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming and Hebei.
The booking growth is surprising. Compared with that in September, the reservations in Lijiang, Dali and Shangri-la rise 21%, 92% and 268% respectively.
An owner of a hostel in Lijiang told the reporter: "the price of rooms in both hotels and hostels has mounted since September 27. The booking price for a room spans from 400 yuan to 500 yuan a day now."
Though the occupancy rate in Kunming also rises, but the room price in Kunming hardly fluctuates. The star-rated hotels see a stable price, while the economy hotels and three-star hotels rise the price by about 20%.
