Situated in the Diqing Tibet autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province, Yubeng scenic spot is known as an epitome of Shangri-La due to its geographic location. It has also been regarded as a holy land for Buddhist pilgrimage.
When autumn come, I will take adventure bags to Yubeng, smelling the nature---colorful forest, clear streams and snowy mountains.
Many long-distance buses run from Kunming to Yubeng, passing Lijiang, Shangri-La and Deqin County. The fare of taking a minibus is from 150 to 200 yuan. The scheduled buses from Deqin to Xidang leave from 8:00 am every day. When arriving in Xidang, you are suggested to get there by riding a horse or hiking.
There are two ways into Yubeng, riding a horse or hiking. The total distance is 18 kilometers. A friend of me recommends starting from Xidang Hot Spring to Yubeng. It takes about 6 hours for hiking.
