However, in the state of the whole province, the first half year of 2014 is a period of high temperature and few raindrops, especially from March to May.
The average precipitation of the province from January to June is comparably less than that of the same period in previous years. However, 44 counties and cities, including Kunming, ushered in their rainy season ahead of schedule. The province came to the rainy season from the start of June, which saw 4 strong rainfalls. Among the counties and cities, Jianshui County rained most in June with average precipitation of 277 millimeters, which are 1.3 times more than that of the same period last year.
