Kunming, capital city of southwest China's Yunnan Province, is expected to become another Chinese city to offer international transit passengers 72-hour visa-free stays. The policy has been approved by the State Council of China. It is estimated to be officially implemented after the approval of National Ministry of Public Security.
Kunming will be the ninth city to introduce a visa-free policy following Beijing and Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shenyang, Dalian, Xi’an.
The policy is said to provide a lot of convenience for international passengers, who do not have to apply for visas yet stay at Kunming for 3 days.
After its implement, altogether foreign passengers from 51 countries, such as America, Australia, U.K., etc., will enjoy the policy.
Kunming Changshui International Airport is the fourth-largest airport in China, which is provided with integrated functions of city's transportation hub. Air routes will certainly be added in future, offering more choices for passengers to transit flights.
